I really enjoy doing directed drawing lessons with first graders because it helps them feel successful in art, where otherwise they might not have even attempted the drawing at all. We recently did a directed drawing lesson of a witch for Halloween. She was a cute, smiling, waving witch! They are now decorating our classroom walls in the spirit of October. Enjoy a few pictures!
